Marshalsea takes place in an abandoned insane asylum inhabited by ghosts (mostly from 1802 - mid 1960's) that met untimely ends for various reasons. Some are malevolent and some are benevolent. They closed the asylum in 2002, but the kind of human that finds it keen to set up a home away from home in an abandoned insane asylum has led to a growing population of humans as well. Some of the ghosts are willing to kill to get them out, some would do anything to protect them. The veil is growing thinner the longer these two populations stay together... leading to - spoilers darling.

The reason that this game is on Dreamwidth is because we explore very dark subject matter including violence, sexual deviance, death, unnatural desires and other fun. It is ship and slash friendly, and ships are welcome to be dark. The plot will be dark as well. This is a game for mature writers. Come play with us. We'll turn the lights off - but the game can get as dark as you make it.
