Las Vegas is full of doors. For most of them, money and power are the keys. But just off Las Vegas’ Strip, there is a place called the Passages Hotel, where the doors open under your touch not because of who you are, but because of who you carry with you.
Passages Hotel is full of doors, but the key to Passages is not glitter or gold; it’s a person. Not a real person at all, but that person in your head, the one from fiction, the one that doesn’t exist, your separate personality, your Alter. Some people say it’s a disorder, and it could be, but the rumors and old wives’ tales don’t explain why the Alters have doors... or what’s on the other side. It’s not like anyone can make a reservation to stay in Passages, and the vacancy sign is never, ever lit.
Unless, that is, you’re one of them. In which case, the key to your door is waiting. Do you dare open it?

| High school: the best and worst of times - especially if you can move things with your mind, shoot fire from your fingertips, or lift up a car with one hand. Welcome to Tranquility, Pennsylvania, just another ordinary small town in a post-evolutionary world. Tensions are running high as, one by one, the powered students are outed and the anti-powered sentiment strengthens. It’s been thirty years since the Powered People’s Protection Act was passed, yet the world is still filled with discrimination and hatred, and in a small town like Tranquility, things don’t change unless you force them to. One thing is certain: revolution is coming, and sooner or later, everyone is going to have to choose a side. |

Ever wanted to be taught to sing by a mermaid? How about share a beer with a psychopomp? Buy a Van Gogh from a vampire or be propositioned by an immortal? Our sin eater needs a psychologist. Our boogeyman needs a job (preferably away from kids).
Syncopation is a no frills OC supernatural game, and we need HUMANS! We are looking for some wonderful, complex humans to help fill our city, and to perhaps discover the darker side of life. We will accept everyone from homeless unfortunates to politicians, demon hunting fanatics to primary school teachers. If you are interested in getting in on the early months of a busy new game, then come check us out.
Please note, we are currently only accepting holds for humans until the game balances out, but any active player can apply for a second character after 2 months.
