Naomi found herself surprised by two local Fianna boys, both youngish, at around five-thirty PM. They appraised her of why they're picking her up, and she goes only after calling her father and receiving confirmation from his current girlfriend instead. Fine. She leaves a message instructing him to call her as soon as possible, because for a human in a family of wolves she apparently has no qualms about testing their temper from across an entire ocean.
They have one of those old-school vans with the curtains in the windows and the huge side doors, which means that she can assume enough distance from them that is less out of haughtiness than they seem to think and more because she's genuinely kind of uncomfortable with not knowing anyone and being expected to do... something. So: their general opinion seems to be 'hot, stuck-up, wearing ridiculous clothes,' and she doesn't get how what she's wearing is ridiculous (it's espadrilles, a yellow sundress, and a denim jacket, it's not that dressy), but oh well.
Naomi sitting near the back, looking quietly when they pull up at the airport in front of people she doesn't recognize. The window is open just enough - maybe two inches - that she's only visible in the sliver of that space, watching.
