In comes a young woman in a red dress and cowboy boots. The dress itself is more casually short than it is formal, but then Devorah never does just dress like anyone else. She has no jacket and doesn't seem to mind the cold, drifting through the convenience store. God only knows what she's actually doing, Devorah is the most inexplicable person in the city most of the time.
She picks up one of the lotto samples, the scratch-off ones, and considers it.
"How often do people ever actually win anything from these?"
