When the bad just keeps coming
Who: Max and Jayne
What: Explosion aftermath
When: Monday, September 15th, Midnight
Where: Max's hospital room
Warnings: TBD

They were going to be releasing Max in the morning. Jayne knew well and good that it meant they'd be booting him out bright and early at the crack of dawn when the shift change began. Because of this, and because she was always tired nowadays, Jayne had fallen asleep early. She was curled up against Max in his hospital bed, refusing to leave his side when the bomb went off in her mind.

Her eyes snapped open, tears already forming in them as her lips parted in a scream unlike any she'd ever released in her life. Terror and pain filled the sharp cry as the pain shattered like glass between her ears. She clutched her own head and her body began to tremble. She couldn't push the pain out of her thoughts enough to even reach for Max. And then everything went dark and her body went limp.
