Bearer of Good News
Who: Jack and Jason, then Olly, Shiva and Mandy
What: No murder charges, huzzah!
When: August 13th, Early Wednesday evening
Where: Phonelines, the Den
Warning: TBD

It'd been five pm before Jo finally got an answer out of her boss about if there was going to be a case against the McCreary twins. But some miracle of God, the DA had decided it wasn't worth prosecuting them. Especially considering the laundry list of crimes Deacon McCreary was responsible for. Jason didn't care about his reasons, he was just glad the case was dismissed. Better still, Frankie Murphy had decided since his two co-conspirators were dead, he wanted to cut a deal. That officially closed the case that had started with Jack McCreary getting shot and ended in more bodies than Jason wanted to think about. He filed packed everything up in a box and marked it as closed before taking it to the evidence room to be put away. Closing a case often gave him a sense of relief and closure, but not as profound as this one.

Now if he could just find his blue handprint serial killer before it struck again, he might be able to sleep at night again... But one thing at a time.

Jason was done for the night and was looking forward to not only going home to have dinner with his daughters without Gavin Breckenridge and Hannah making eyes at each other, but now he got to call Jack and let her know she and her brother were off the hook. Dialing her phone as he walked towards his SUV, he waited for Jack to pick up.
