Jason Richards ([info]_littlelionman_) wrote in [info]darkdividerpg,
Jason wadded up the paper sign he'd torn down and tossed it into the nearest wastebin. The bullpen was pretty clean, especially since Song had started hanging around their offices. There were pictures of crime scenes, suspects, and persons of interest pinned up to various boards hanging around the room. Digging out his wallet, he handed Grace a couple of bills. "There's a vending machine in the breakroom on the other side of the laundry room," he told his daughter. "Go get yourself whatever." He wasn't having her hyped up on coffee, which besides water from the cooler in one corner was really the only thing to drink down here. While she was getting what she wanted to drink, Jason filled up his coffee mug and added a ton of sugar and creamer as usual.

By the time Grace got back, he was in his office checking his email. There was a pile of files that had just been delivered to his desk by some poor uniform who probably was very glad Jason had no interest in shooting messengers. "Have a seat," he told his daughter. "Leave the door open though. You can help me go through the new cases and figure out which ones I get to throw back to where they came from. Other departments are always trying to offload everything they can on us." He always spent at least the first hour, if not more, reading cases files and having to shoot at least half of them back to various other departments and precincts because they weren't their jurisdiction.
