Who: Chahna, Jack, and Jason What: Weres and dissent in the City Where: Downtown When: Monday, March 23, afternoon Rating: TBD
Jack was sincerely hoping this was the last outing she needed to make into the city that didn't involve being on the clock- and even those days were numbered. She'd been catching hints from management that she needed to take leave soon. Even though most maternity time off started a week or two before the due date, triplets made things more complicated. Her mother and the OB she'd been seeing both agreed; she needed to start preparing.
Not to mention the fact that she'd soon be too wide to fit through the Red line doors.
Today, she was greatful for Chahna's help. Since Travis brought her into the pack (with Jack's blessing), Jack was glad for the opportunities to bond with the desert wolf, her pups, and her brother. She kept the talk about the Redding pack to an absolute minimum, for a number of reasons- mutually beneficial ones. Today, the subject matter had been the coming babyshower, how Enya was faring in school, and how Marcus nearly managed to pull her tail off. Also, the weekly deliveries she had set up for the packlands from the beginning of April until at least two months past her due date.
"Last stop, thank god," Jack said as they rounded the street corner toward city hall. "Need to renew the gaming permit for Pulaski Woods every year." She still remembered the year the paperwork got delayed. It was the second year after their species had gone public, and the protests were unbelievable.
Not unlike what greeted them once they crossed the street.
