The truth is that I never shook my shadow.
Who: Elias, Jayne, Max, with the later addition of Raj
What: A domino effect
When: Saturday, March 14th
Where: Outside the theater to start
Warnings: Language, hints of violence

Elias, his twin, and his sister-in-law had come to April's show to show their support. Max and Jayne had always planned on going that night, but Eli joined them to surprise April. The fact that she'd done a fabulous job and gotten bumped up to taking over the role of one of the step sisters had been a pleasant surprise. He wasn't sure if she'd noticed him in the audience or not, but after the show, he fully intended to congratulate her on her performance. She had been phenomenal.

He knew that she'd likely take a break after the performance, so it didn't worry him when she didn't come out to the lobby right away. After a while, though, she did begin to become concerned. April's family let him know that they'd call on her later and to tell her what a fabulous job she'd done, and he played it off like he wasn't worried. Of course she'd gotten tied up with planning an after party or something of the sort. Only he knew that couldn't have been what happened. His eyes went to Max the moment her familyw as out of earshot. "Something's not right," he told his brother. "She never takes this long. Ever. Especially knowing her family was out here and you two. Even if she didn't know I was here, she's not going to keep Jayne waiting for...," he looked down at his watch. "Hell, it's been almost forty-five minutes."

A half-hour, he understood, but the time had ticked too far. Something was wrong.
