Max had no idea what was going on. He'd been in the office talking with the band he was booking for the Saturday night before St. Patrick's Day. He apologized as his brother and Raj came in, telling them he call right back after he dealt with something at the bar.

Turning in his chair, he looked between Raj and Eli. That was not the question he expected. Max managed to force his heartbeat to stay normal, knowing Raj would use it to gauge if he was telling the truth. Of course, Eli wasn't as good at lying as he was. "Who told you that?" he asked instead. Because whoever Raj had been talking to, had him completely riled. Raj was a werewolf and they were in a small, enclosed space in a crowded bar. This could end really badly if they couldn't talk him down.
