Who: Arkady and Tom When: After close of business, Thursday, August 11. Where: Arkady's trailer. What: Tom stops by to see what the boss would like to say to him. Rating: Unknown, but probably low?
It had been a good night by all of Tom's standards. He'd made one of the carnival-goers cry with his haunted house schtick, and then not twenty minutes she'd come back 'round again. Any shift that combined tears and a repeat visit was a success in the bogeyman's book. He was in a good mood after the gates closed, and he whistled cheerfully even though it was his turn to sweep up and run the nightly safety check.
The whistling, an obnoxiously shrill yet perky rendition of I'll Make a Man Out of You from Disney's Mulan, announced Tom long before the actual knock. Then, just in case the ringmaster was expecting multiple visitors, the Rawhead called out. "Arkady?" The tone of voice was less abrasive than the whistling - audible but not a shout, pitched to match in intensity his two short raps on the door. "Tom Reed. I can come back in a bit if now's not the best time for you."
