Eric just brushed his nose against Cole's, doing his best not to freak out as well. What would happen next? What did this mean, on top of everything, there had to be a reason they'd never gone this far as friends. Eric knew that on his part it was because Cole had... well, Cole was immature a lot of the time and Eric had never wanted to just be forgotten about like the others that Cole slept with, the meaningless one night stands.
Then again, Eric knew better than anyone that he wouldn't be treated like that. His lips brushed against Cole's again, just the once before his fingers flexed against the skin of Cole's hip.
"Just sleep," he murmured softly, even though words weren't necessary, he felt soothed saying something aloud, a gentle kiss being placed at the tip of Cole's nose before he settled, cocooned in Cole's arms as much as Cole was safe in his. His eyes drifted shut.
Eric's mind was silent, no music, nothing playing in there that shouldn't be. It was... the first time in all of his life that he could remember just hearing... silence.
