"Mmm... yeah," Julian replied as he attempted another sip of the drink Adrian had brought him, hoping he might start to feel that bit more human. Anytime now would be great, really it would. The sooner the better.
Also? The headache he was currently experiencing needed to go die in a fire. Again, sooner rather than later. It did in fact felt like he had a herd of elephants parading around in the space between his ears, trumpets and all.
It was only when Adrian smiled that Julian lifted an eyebrow above the shades that were doing wonders for his very sensitive eyes. The elaborate display was impressive and Julian could tell that Adrian was a showman, inside and out. One of the many reasons he drew a crowd, that much Julian was certain of. "Very nice," he remarked genuinely. "I can see why you do so well with the crowd. But it's not like I didn't know that already considering the show you put on the one and only time I've watched the mainshow."
