Julian knew a lot of things about a lot of people, but it wasn't what he knew that put people on a bad footing with him, more when they lied to him. Aubrey had done that and that hadn't worked out so well. But if that was her way of dealing with what she was then so be it, her issue, not his. "Something like that," he remarked with a nod of his head. "If I'm not too careful I'm likely to get lost in whatever emotion is associated with an object." He'd almost lost himself to the effects of the amulet, been swept away in its emotional weight and struggled to break surface for even so much as a single breath of air. "Just a matter of riding the... wave, to steal surfer language."
His eyebrow lifted at first the shoulder dusting and then the remark about GQ magazine before he tugged on his ear. "I'll have to remember that the next time I'm feeling particularly rough." Which for him was an early morning. "And the next time somebody insults my threads." Julian fell rather quiet for a moment as Adrian asked what magazine he might have walked off and there was an intense... stare that seemed intent on boring its way through Adrian until there was nothing but transparency left. "You?" He began. "Rolling Stones magazine is the first one that springs instantly to mind. Maybe with your birds."
A nod later and Julian was happy with his choice. "Something dark, maybe a little on the sensual side. Sexy, if you will."
