Adrian gave a little chuckle when he called himself a prickly sonofabitch because so far, he hadn't really seen it. "You seem pretty easy going to me." It just wasn't how Adrian viewed Julian at all. "Understood" was the demon's answer though, short with a nod and accepting the way Julian described how they were taking it slow. But, he did add, "Well, now you have two friends that want to get more about you." He let that finger trail down to Julian's hand again and just laid it on top of it, a sort of genuine reaching out per say. "I want you to know, I realize what you've been through it has been...well... a challenging hand of cards that you were dealt. And I'm sure it hasn't felt like game at all. Just...just know I'm someone else you can talk to." The offer was put out there. This was one guest he didn't want to disappear after one visit. That damn lasting impression he asked for was lasting much longer than he expected.
But, as he sat with his hand on top of the other's he cradled his own head in the crook of his elbow on top of the back of the couch and gazed up to Julian's face as he answered, "It's really not as different as other's lives as people think. The problem mortals have is the unknown of what's beyond in the afterlife, or even if there is one and well... I don't really have that problem now do I? Honestly, it's lonely. Being on Earth for this long, can have it's disadvantages. It's one of the main reason's I don't like to get attached. Why put myself in the position to know I'm going to lose anyone I care for?" Then Adrian rolled his eyes to the ceiling as if recalling a memory. "Of course, sometimes...just sometimes, that's something one can't control." He looked back at Julian then. "I don't like not being able to control that. But, the truth is... those types of feelings are ungovernable. One can deny them. But, that doesn't mean they aren't really there." That's when Adrian admitted one thing more. "Maybe that's why I'm such and attention whore? Helps the ignored lonely go away."
