Adrian nodded when Julian repeated Angel's name. But, even though he'd just said Angel seemed like a nice guy and he really rather admired Angel in as an artist inside the circle of life, Adrian had second thoughts about bringing up his name. Maybe he wasn't so sure he wanted Julian near him after all. He didn't know exactly how Death's talent worked and didn't want him getting the urge to use Julian as a canvas. "You'll live, you've met me. Good enough." He joked trying to rid the room of the subject. "I think he likes to be left alone anyway." He added hoping to deter Julian from trying.
Adrian had an odd disappointment hit the pit of his stomach as Julian said he did have someone special and again... this wasn't something the demon always connected with, often times, using the information just to cause wedges and ruin allegiances for fun, but disappointment wasn't usually the feeling attributed to what fueled him to do such things. Adrian, was a complete flirt to be sure, but it was often times the candid ways of a demon to do so, baiting souls for damnation. But, he'd been growing an attachment to the Carnival workers and planned on keeping his underground dealings outside Nocturne. Then Adrian spoke frank, "I'm not best at those either." He said pulling his guest back to the couch to get comfy again. "If I had someone I cared for... I think the fact I have such hard time with letting people in, that... well..." He was stumbling over his words, "...I just think if I actually did let someone in, that would mean I truly cared, and... I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off of them." Adrian shirked a shoulder before lifting his eyes to Julian again, "I believe that."
