People did always seem surprised when she'd mentioned that no one in her former home had liked her. Ellie chuckled a little bit. The whole thing was more funny to her now than it had been then. "Well, it was because of my hair. Bluecaps aren't ever born with red hair. So when I was, it reminded everybody of another kind of fae we don't like. They're called Redcaps." She ran a hand through the aforementioned hair, still smiling. "Thanks, though. I'm glad you think I'm fun. I always try to be."
Toby really did have a nice smile. Nice and bright. Still blew her mind how Slade could have been so mean to him that one time. "Staying around here for a long time sounds perfectly good to me. I like it here, after all."
His mention that the sun was going to be up soon had Ellie looking back up at the sky. It still seemed dark enough to her, but she'd never really been good at telling time by the amount of light in the sky anyway. Living down in a mine for half your life didn't really help with that. "Yeah, probably. At least try and sleep." She wasn't entirely sure that she'd be able to get back to sleep. The restlessness wasn't easily gotten rid of.
