WHO: Anahita and Asher WHAT: He's browsing. In the market for a tattoo? We shall see. WHERE: Anahita's tent on the midway WHEN: Before carnival hours RATING: Low STATUS: In progress
With her tennyo design finished, Anahita was entirely ready to put the new design in her skin. It had been a long time coming, in her personal opinion. A way to remember where she'd come from...and also the home and sisters that she'd never be able to return to. The sketch had been taking up its own singular page since she'd began, but now that she was done piecing the drawing together, she was prepared to turn it into a stencil. It'd likely be best to begin the tattoo before the carnival opened to the public, so she'd opened up her tent earlier than usual, not really expecting much company, if any at all. Running the sketch through her copier, the outline was transferred onto thermal paper. And once her skin on her arm was clean, the stencil was pressed down, leaving the blue-ish outline behind.
Generally unconcerned with pain, she didn't hesitate to set in on going over the stenciled lines in black. It did hurt, considering the location, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it had been with the tattoo on her back. The hand doing the actual tattoo was entirely steady as she did her work, and for a while, the only sound in her tent was the buzz of the needle and the soft sound of her breathing. Bit by bit, the image was coming together and seeing it made her smile. It looked far better than she could have ever anticipated, really.
Once it was finished, she set the tattoo gun aside, cleaning her skin and placing a bandage over her work. The rest of it could be finished another time, perhaps after the carnival was finished for the day. Or perhaps even during carnival hours. There really was no telling who'd come around to see her.
