WHO: Anahita and Ryan WHAT: He's looking to get a tattoo, and that's her thing WHERE: Her tent on the midway WHEN: During carnival hours RATING: Low, I'm sure STATUS: Completed
It was a slow day on the midway, sadly. Anahita had spent most of the time since opening her tent just sketching and meticulously cleaning her equipment. It was almost tedious, really. So many ideas and images in her mind that were practically begging to be done, and yet there was no way to get them out. She could sketch them out on paper and add them to the examples that she had for the passers-by to see. But there were just so many ideas running through her mind that it would be impossible to truly get them all down. It was creativity with no outlet. But it happened. She took it in stride and dealt with it as it happened.
A few people came in to look at what she had to offer. Some even asked her to design tattoos to be done before the carnival left town. As for actually doing any tattoos? She only had one client in. A simple enough lower back tattoo on a girl. Stylized vines with roses, to represent her love for her boyfriend. It was nice enough, and Anahita had truly enjoyed putting the art into her skin and putting a smile on her face. That was what she'd dedicated herself to her art for. But after the two and a half hour session was over, she was back to the slowness of watching people walk by the tent. She lit herself a cigarette, placing it between her lips as she turned back a few pages in her sketchbook. It was a page she'd drawn on before. She'd started a design for a tattoo for her left forearm. A tennyo, actually.
Pencil was placed to paper and she continued with the shading, trying to think of what colors she'd end up adding when it was actually done. There'd be quite a few, of course, considering the many colors of a hagoromo. But that was alright. She wouldn't have done the image justice without putting the colors in right. Anahita blew out a cloud of smoke, smiling some at what she'd drawn. It'd be one of her favorites for a long time to come.
