Throughout her life, Diana had grown a certain affection and fondness for caring, not only the natural world, but for the people close to her. That caring went beyond the basic casual exchange of pleasantries and she had taken to bringing food to the people who otherwise forgot about their appetite when swept up in other things, things like tattoos.
In particular when a good friend had spent the better part of six hours working on an abstract back piece that spanned the width and expanse of a delicate spine.
“Lunch,” Diana declared as she swept into Anahita’s tent, placing the small basket down as she settled on a nearby stool, tilting her head to better observe the display of colours that were near complete on the customer that had walked into the tent earlier that day and declared the need for art.
She often marvelled at her friend’s capacity to create art from nothingness and wondered how some could be born with such a gift and others not. She’d never put pen to paper and drawn the figments of her mind, but Anahita did that and more. It was a truly wonderful ability to possess.
“I didn’t think you’d eaten yet,” Diana shared with a shrug. “I know what you’re like when you get…” What was a better word to use other than obsessive? She smoothed a strand of hair behind her ear and just offered Anahita a smile, hoping her friend would know what she was thinking.
