"You sleep outside?" Ana asked with fascination. "Don't you get dirty?" She couldn't imagine coming home all dirty and covered in grass stains. Mother would have a fit at the laundry alone, and would scold Ana for not being home in her bed.
"I'll bet it's nice though. All the little animals come out at night, the ones that Mother says sleep all day." She smiled a bit, then twirled her hair for another second before dropping the springy curl.
"I would love to help decorate it, do you mean it?" Ana gushed, her painted mouth falling open in wonder and mismatched eyes wide. "Oh, that would be so fun! And you'd have your very own place to put your things!"
