Rayna laughed, a rich, powerful sound that seemed, for a moment, to make the sun light on the property flare just a litter brighter. "You're a real piece of work, Arkady my sweet. How I ever got on without your dry-as-dirt wit, I'll never know. Must be what I see in that no good husband of mine, eh?" She chuckled again, winking at him.
"Which reminds me, he's gonna be down to visit after we leave Shreveport; he wants to see Lily, get away from work for a while. Would you mind letting everybody know we're going to have a vanilla on the grounds? Also, Lily keeps asking when she's going to be old enough to 'join the circus'. Obviously she's a little young, but I'm running out of ways to put the question off. Any ideas for something small she could do to be included that wouldn't involve her staying up too much past bedtime, or expose her to too much debauchery?"
