Ophelia's eyes flashed and Leigh realized that she didn't know what this woman was. Her hands clenched at her side and she kept the shadows at bay, thrashing at her feet like churning waters. She grit her teeth, hanging her head, her hair falling around her face.
"Please. Please. Don't tell him. I'm fine. I'm fine." She dragged her hands into her hair, tugging on it hard, the pain causing her to focus. Suddenly, the shadow on Ophelia's arm slithered away, drawing back to Leigh.
