When Soren shifted into his human state, Riley couldn't help but grin. He liked the other man a great deal, which worked out nicely since they spent so much time together in the tent. They had beer every now and again and waxed philosophical about the 'good old days'; Soren had been at a few of the battles Riley had seen, among other shared memories. He couldn't exactly stroke his feathers when he was a handsome man though, could he? Seemed a bit off-putting.
"Oh, I know. I'm sorry about that," Riley apologized. "I was watching, but I guess not closely enough to predict what those assholes were going to do. Should we set your perch back further from the walkway? Do you think that'd help?"
