Bright blue eyes were wide and alert as Penny circled the table studying the case of expensive champagne that she was assigned to take out to the very important party sitting at a table out on the main floor. Wings fluttered slightly in protest as she forced them to fold against her back and blend in with her silvery dress. Clicking her heels on the floor, Penny glanced out the door from the kitchen into the dining room, trying to get a peek at whoever ordered the expensive champagne. Pale fingers twitched, itching to pick up the bottle, but knowing better than to touch something that cost more than what she made. Biting the inside of her cheek instead, she began to wonder why she had to wait and couldn't just bring the champagne out right then and there. She wasn't really in the mood to wait around, she wanted to explore all the "special" sights for New Years. Holidays were a rare thing for Penelope to experience, and she wanted to see it all, especially the candy apples.
She wasn't expecting to be playing waitress, especially after her last performance of the night. She didn't even have time to change out of her performance outfit before being ushered into kitchen and told to wait there. Lacing her fingers behind her back, Penelope bounced on her heels now, and anxiously waited. Wrinkling her nose only slightly as she found herself growing increasingly bored. If she was waiting for someone to help her, she was going to be bothered, since she could easily handle the delivery of this crate, and on top of that, she was being forced to wait.
Waiting was not her forte. Penelope either wanted things done immediately, or she wanted to do them herself. Why should she have to wait for someone? She was fully capable of bringing the crate out on her own, then again, the crate did seem rather important, and the more she looked at it, the more she felt guilty for getting frustrated. Patience was a virtue she should be working on, and she inwardly chastised herself for getting so impatient. Maybe the person coming was someone as important as the people at the table. Maybe it was someone she knew! Maybe it was someone famous.
Maybe...
