Her face scrunched again, he called her kid. She hated that. "Uh, yeah, I know I just get nervous around all sorts of people. I have a tendancy to say things without speaking and it's gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past, plus I've been told that I'm 'sheltered' and that my social skills aren't eactly, proper." She took a breath, she didn't really want to talk about it, because she hated that as much as she's experienced in life, and as long as she's been on her own, she was still technically sheltered. She didn't know small things, like what it was like to go on a date, what it was like to have a "girls night", simple things that others took for granted. She had never even had a sleepover before, but she had seen all of the national monuments and travelled from one end of the country to the other and even ventured into Canada from time to time.
"I say it's their loss." She replied to his second question, she didn't understand why someone would just want to have sex with someone without having a relationship with them first. She enjoyed his company, then again, she did find him absolutely stunning as well.
