Looking at him, she was able to see why he didn't talk. Why would he need to? If he didn't want to talk to someone, she could see how he could stop any conversation partner with a glance. She made a noise of assent and nodded, lost in thought for a moment. The maze. She'd been through the entire house once or twice, but stayed mostly near the ending. She was one last good scare when people thought that the light at the end of the tunnel was the final leg.
She could see how that smile could make him all the more intimidating. He was like a shark, really. Every single vibe he gave off was predatory, but it wasn't as if he had to try. He hadn't made any move or said anything to worry her, so she stayed right where she was, even chuckled.
"No place is bright if I don't want it to be." she murmured off-hand, looking up to meet his eyes as he asked her his question. "A week? I'm hard to notice. I stay in the shadows." To emphasize her point, she wiggled her fingers and the shadows at her feet traveled up her body, obscuring her from sight. "It's handy."
