"I work near the middle of the maze," he agreed almost absently, tilting his head to study her carefully, inhaling her scent. "I don't talk a lot."
He leaned more heavily against the wall, his lips quirking almost into a full smile. His teeth behind those inked lips were so white and straight, perfectly even in his mouth.
"I try to stay out of the bright places," Charlie muttered. "It's a lot better to be in here, terrorizing people on my own time. How long've you been here? I haven't noticed you."
