Cole's eyes widened ever so slightly and his pace stalled for an all of a few moments before he fell into an easy enough smile and slow lift of a shoulder. "Nothing wrong with enjoying the view." Which as most people knew he didn't do do anymore given that he'd gone and fallen head over for his best friend, but right now he needed a handy excuse.
And he very quickly got rid of the adjusted height he'd taken on whilst following and watching. Thankfully he'd not adopted too many of the movements and mannerisms of the other man so Cole didn't have to think about shedding those. What he made look easy was in fact difficult and painful, but Cole hid most of that from public view.
"But seriously you need to relax," Cole pointed out. "I'm not about to jump you." And that accent? Boy was not from around here, that much Cole knew.
