Jessa wasn't all that concerned about not eating real food. Pastries were sweet and that's what she was after. There was time for real food later. And God knew she'd be given more than enough "real food" in the form of treats when she was getting ready for the animal show. And then after that she'd have time for a bite to eat before she had to be on stage in the burlesque tent. It'd be totally fine. As for worrying about getting fat...she just didn't. Worry about it, that was. Something about what she was kept her metabolism nice and quick. And on top of that, she was a dancer. She made sure to keep herself in peak condition. No one would want to look when she was onstage if she didn't make herself something worth looking at.
Seeing that she and Babylon were both new to the carnival, it had made sense to try and make friends. Jessa liked making new friends anyway, of course. And the fact that they both worked in the same part of the carnival had just made it easier. Babs was quite simply fabulous. That was the only way to put it. The seat wasn't taken, and Jessa sat herself down with that telltale cat-like grace. "I'm just fine. Aside from finding a rip in my costume this morning." She waved it off like it was nothing at all. Hopefully that wouldn't change once she headed over to the costume trailer to pick it up. "What about you?"
