Babylon had been thinking perhaps she should have chosen some real food instead of coffee and sweets. Second guessing herself on days like these was what she did best. The pastries smelled and tasted delicious, but it was an indulgence she perhaps could have done without. The last thing she needed was to get fat, on top of everything else. Not that Babylon had ever been anywhere in the same vicinity as plump. She seemed to be unable to put on an extra ounce, but she attributed it to genetics and a fast metabolism. She was half right. Her incubus father had given her the genetics that kept her body in the best shape possible to entice.
Jessa's hello startled the redhead out of her currently depressing thoughts. Babylon looked up with a start. She managed a wan, yet honest smile.
"Hey, sweetie." She made an understated grand gesture, her hand sweeping over the domain of her current table. Her head tilted back slightly, like some languid silver screen diva. She liked Jessa but, more importantly, Jessa seemed to like her. Him. Whatever. Babs was feeling like a she today. Tomorrow was another day, which might never come. She would feel like she would feel then. Right now, her female side was stronger. Babs was always the same person. She did not have any personality disorders. It was more a matter of weight, of polarity, like leaning on one leg, then the other. Babs was leaning on her girl leg today.
"Please. How are you?" Her smile grew a little. She and Jessa had such a fun thing planned for Halloween. The idea of being the shapeshifter's pet for an evening had been too cute and funny to pass up.
