Ashley tilted his head as she approached, young Lucy Winters who he had seen grow up through her teenage years. He smiled, the faded bruises sitting around his eye hidden by the shadows of his hat now. It was a yellow colour, underneath his eye and thankfully the split to his lip was just about healed. It was going to leave a little scar, though, just underneath his lip, with the extent of the cut that had been there. He still walked with a slight hunch, too, to protect his still healing broken ribs. They stole his breath every time he drew one in or breathed out too quickly, or moved too fast, and it didn't help that some idiot had elbowed him out of the way earlier.
"Lucy, sweetheart," Ashley greeted with a smile, leaning against the counter top next to where the balls were sitting. "You're more than welcome to try, and perhaps you can have a blue monkey?" He reached out gingerly with one hand, tapping the long dangling feet with a finger. "That is, if you win." He winked and gestured that she take one of the balls.
His grip over his power had gotten so much better, he could support the coconuts now without having to think too much about it, keeping a cushion around them all that stopped them from falling whenever the were hit.
