Johnny was glad a foot didn't connect itself with his rib cage and he relaxed marginally, surprised with himself for getting so comfortable with Spike so quickly. Maybe it was because he was Bitten, Johnny did have an unhealthy obsession with the human culture and often times he preferred it to his own. "'Chains'?" He echoed, giving the boy a look as if to say "you're joking, right?".
"You can't do that Spike, you're only hurting yourself! Shit man, you really should have hooked up with a pack after your, ah, incident... What you have been doing has been hurting your wolf. It's almost like starvation, you're starving the wolf of it's monthly does of the Moon..." Johnny ran a hand through his hair before letting it go and moving on to Spike's own question. "I was born a fifth generation Were, which means that when I was born I was already 'changed'," Johnny spoke softly and used air quotes, hoping it would help to distract Spike from a probably very gross fact he had just learned about his room mate. "So, no, I don't remember my first but I've been told that the Bitten have a harder time of it. There are ways to help, though! Certain teas and foods you eat before a full moon... They used to try fasting but that only increased the number of crazies running around. There are also exercises I've heard of that are supposed to help... Pills... You probably want to stay away from those, though... I'm sure I can find out more." Johnny stopped himself there, hoping he hadn't ranted too much for Spike.
