Johnny was glad to see an expression on Spike's face other than a scowl and he was about to call the other boy cute when Spike seemed to guess exactly what he had been thinking. Brow furrowed, Johnny sensed there was something weird going on and, on instinct, he sniffed again, as if that would tell him anything. Of course, it didn't. "It's good to know your room mate won't suddenly turn homicidal," Johnny said after another moment, deciding it was best left without comment. He got up from his bed and walked over to Spike's, sure to stop an acceptable distance away so as not to crowd the boy. With a warmer smile, Johnny offered up his hand, pinky extended. "Pinky swear?" He said and his tone was lighter than before, slightly teasing since he hoped to lighten the mood.
