The puns weren't completely intentional, but she wasn't going to be all embarrassed or do more than roll her eyes at Matt's pretty much stereotypical response. Especially with his girlfriend egging him on and encouraging him to act like an animal.

She felt kind of bad for Bo. He seemed to be almost civilized and since he was saddled with these two, a lot people avoided him because they were intimidated by his companions. "I bruised my tailbone the night before Jonah and the kids found you guys," she explained dryly.
"Well, that sucks," Matt observed, smirking over at Bo. "Gives you time to get your wall done though." Yeah, he could say he was doing it for the greater good, but everybody knew different. "What's in the other building on the property?" he asked as he stole the cigarette back from Maddie.
"A whole bunch of Deaders," Lisa said. "It was an earthquake shelter. Was being overrun as Jonah and I got here. We blocked all the exits. Not sure how many people were in there. We only got a few of them out and even half of those didn't make it."
