Jace always expected corny comments from Tak, so he attempted to prepare himself for the other boy's statement. If it came with a warning then it must have been pretty high on the cheese factor. He wasn't disappointed by the following statement, though he found that he had begun smiling at some point and was now unable to wipe the grin from his face. It only seemed to increase with the compliments, a healthy red glow lighting the younger boy's cheeks once more as he waited for Tak to finish.
"My Jace-ness?" he said jokingly, his head tilting to the side slightly as he considered what the other teen had said. That wasn't the most important part, of course, but it just seemed funny to him. It served as a slight distraction as he thought of what to say to such a bold confession.
Looking at Tak intently, Jace's tongue skimmed his bottom lip before he began to speak. "That was a lot of feelings," he stated slowly. "I guess you really have been thinking about it a lot." Letting his gaze flicker down to their still-joined hands, Jace gave Tak's a little squeeze. "I'd really like that," he said, cheeks beginning to ache slightly. "You already know how amazing I think you are so if you really want to pick up where we left off, then I'd love it."
