Pleased not to receive a verbal answer, for that would have caused their kiss to end, Jace relinquished his hold on Tak's face. Instead he rested one arm over the other boy's shoulder, fingers gravitating towards the back of his head to fist at his hair. The other moved back, Jace's hand resting on Tak's upper arm for a moment before it slid down to settle on the older teen's waist.
Likewise, Jace had missed their closeness. That much was evident from how much he had been thinking of the other boy lately, along with Tak's frequent appearances in his artwork. For a while, Jace had attempted to persuade himself that there was nothing between the pair of them besides a little bit of fun, but he couldn't seem to make himself believe it. The only thing he had been able to do was wait and, thankfully, that had been worthwhile.
It was with great reluctance that Jace eventually pulled out of the kiss. His hands remained where they were, however, holding Tak close as he opened his eyes and failed to repress a grin at the sight before him. "Sorry," he muttered playfully. "I sort of lost it."
