Harris could hardly blame Addison for being worked up over this - it was a stressful and traumatizing thing to go through at any age - but he still firmly believed that what he'd done had been the right thing to do. He was willing to deal with whatever the younger boy decided to throw him that night, so long as he held up and went into the courtroom the next morning. Harris wouldn't be giving his own testimony until Thursday, but he'd promised Addison to be with him every step of the way, and he was going to make good on that promise--
--even if, after the ordeal with Scotty and the fire, Harris would have been happy to never set foot in another courtroom again.
That wasn't the point, though, and it was a stupid hope in any case: Harris would be a fool to think that his run-ins with the law were over. He'd just have to continue to roll with the punches as he'd always done - it had worked out decently enough for him thus far. Shaking off his thoughts, Harris stood up from his spot on his bed, moved his laptop to his desk, and went to unlocked the door for Addison.
