Who: Tak and OPEN What: Tak making REAL ramen. When: Lunch time, Sunday March 20 Where: CHOPP Kitchen Rating: SFW
Tak had been up early, early as always though he still couldn't run. He'd taken the time to get a taxi to a few shops that were oddly open on Sundays. He still found that strange, but gladly acquired several things he'd need to educate his fellow Dalton boys in the true wonder of Ramen.
He was down stairs now, having already spent an hour and a half on prep-work. A Naruto leaf village headband tied to his forehead, jeans, a yin and yang black hoodie with the sleeves rolled up, a white apron with several kanji on it, and oddly enough...his glasses. Tak only needed them for reading, or for more delicate things like cooking. Though contacts usually served his purposes, he felt like Glasses were just a better choice today.
What had taken the longest to prepare were the bamboo shoots. He'd taken some from his NYC trip, but never figured he'd be using them all in one day. Tak was pretty sure his mother would just send him more. The eggs were boiled, shelled and sliced, the rest were things from his stash. Sure it was a lot of use at one time, but he figured it would only make it more authentic. Not that he had everything like he wanted. But if he was to come at least close, this was as close as it got.
To balance the meal out, Tak had chopped thinly sliced steak which were now finishing their slow cook in his mother's sweet seasonings. It would help balance out all of the flavors of the meal. He sang softly to the noodles, a small grin upon his face.
