My parents and I had Easter dinner at Gene and Helen's. After dinner, Mom stepped outside to take some pictures. I happened to have my camera in my purse, so I decided I'd join her in the pilgrimage. The following pictures are my unique look at Gene and Helen's back yard, also known as "Williams St"
This struck me as a "Secret Place", for someone very small. It just looks like a secret hiding place. I vaguely remember the first time I realised there was water behind Gene and Helen's house. Today was the first time I'd walked down there. Helen had a basket of plastic easter eggs on the dinner table. She hosts an egg hunt for the kids every year, and the ones in the basket were found, later. After the kids had gone. She'd collected and kept them over the years. If you look close, on the left hand side is half of a white egg and half buried in the ground on the right hand side is a yellow egg. The geese were what first drew my attention, and this one appears to be headed for the bench seen in the distance. Looks like these two are heading for higer ground. Gene told me the geese will let you get about 8-10 feet from them, and they'll stay that far ahead of you. My depth perception is unreliable, but I think that's about right. He also said these geese will eat out of your hand, but ti takes a bit of coaxing, and they have to come to you sitting still. Looks like the goose closed to me is heading toward his buddies. Safety in numbers, perhaps. I called this one "Mother Earth" because it's just a random shot of the ground. This one's titled "Natural Beauty" because that's what it is, to me. I love scenes showing water and trees. There's something very raw and pure and beautiful about it. We were on our way out and Mom rememebred she'd forgotten some stuff in the fridge. I went back in, and I couldn't resist snapping a picture of the shoes by the door in the garage. I called this one "Solitude" because that's what I think of when I look at the image. I'm not sure what drew me to this stump, more so than any others in the area, but I thought when I took the picture, I would ahve liked to have captured the height of the tree next to it to show life and destruction. "Time Stands Still" in this shot. It's just pure, untouched and untapped beauty. One lonely goose keeping a good 8-10 feet ahead of me. Little bugger. I despise the color yellow, but this made an awesome shot, simply titled "Yellow Flowers"
