Kinky Kristmas 2010 Statistics
4th January 2011 17:37
Kinky Kristmas author and artist reveals are scheduled to go up at noon U.S. Eastern time this Thursday the 6th. Until then, do take advantage of the roundup posts to catch up on anything you might have missed and take a few moments to drop us your KK recs.

While we're waiting for reveals, we've put together some smutty statistics. For the sake of comparison, last year's stats can be found here.

We had 20 pieces of art and 59 fics as well as 1 fic/art collab, giving us a grand total of 80 pieces! Nine more than last year's total. Wow!

~~~~~
The tally:
Slash: 50
Het: 19
Femslash: 4
Mixed: 7 (pieces that contained some combination of slash/femslash/het, including three genderbenders)
Interestingly, the het and femslash totals are exactly the same as they were last year; we just gained a number of slash pieces.
~~~~~

With all said and done, 33 different characters were featured -- 34 if we count Orion the dog.

Naturally, some characters were more ::ahem:: popular than others:

- Demonstrating true Slytherin ambition, Snape and Draco rose from their third place positions from last year to take first place, with 11 different partners each. Snape, by the way, apparently took umbrage with the fact that we called him 'entirely gay' before and added two women to this year's roster. All in all, he managed to bag three out of four Marauders, two older Order members, and two generations of Malfoys, with a Weasley thrown in for good measure.

- Following right behind them is Ginny with 10 partners. Her list is particularly adventurous in that it includes both males and females of her own generation, an orgy with four of her brothers, and an encounter with her father. Suspiciously absent from her list is her own (alleged) husband. Hmm...

- Harry decreased his number by two, and Luna held steady with 9 partners each. Luna once again proved to be the highly adventurous sort; her exploits included males and females, four out of seven Weasley siblings, two of her former professors, and a genderbending moresome. Interestingly, all of her partners this year were Gryffindors. Do we sense a kink? Or a collection?

- Tied for fourth place we have Charlie and Minerva with 7 partners each. Minerva, by the way, was able to snag men and women across many generations, from much younger than her to considerably older. She had four Order members as well as Tom Riddle himself, and was involved in a threesome. You go, Min!

- Sirius, we regret to report, had something of an off year. His number of partners, 6, is less than half of what it was last year, and ties him with Neville! We're certain Snape will be quite smug about this...

~~~~~
And speaking of Snape, it should be mentioned that he was featured in 32 of this year's pieces! That's right; we quite literally had a-Snape-a-day here at Kinky Kristmas!!! We sincerely hope he plans to get some rest in January...
The closest runners up were Harry in 18 pieces, Sirius in 16, Remus in 15, and Draco in 14.
~~~~~

2010 was the year of the threesome and moresomes! We had 15 threesomes in December, as well as 3 scenes with four or more partners. That makes tallying pairings a bit difficult, but let's see what we can do:

Snape/Sirius: 13 (including 6 threesomes with other characters)
Snape/Remus: 10 (including 5 threesomes with other characters)

The exact breakdown on that:
Snape/Sirius: 6
Snape/Remus: 5
Snape/Sirius/Remus: 5
Snape/Sirius/James: 1
(pleased mod is pleased... and more than a little embarrassed! ;) )

Snape/Harry: 7 (including one threesome with Draco)
Harry/Draco: 5 (including threesomes with Snape and Hermione)

Number of times Harry was involved with Charlie, Bill, or both: 7
Number of times Fred and Geroge were together (whether Fred was actually alive or not): 4

Most unusual pairing? Well, that's a matter of opinion, but we're going to vote for Minerva/Luna or Minerva/Andromeda.

~~~~~
This also, by the way seems to have been the year for double penetration. A whopping 8 pieces (10% of the fest!) featured good ol' DP.
Other kinks this year included bestiality, necrophilia, ghost!sex, parent/child incest (of both Malfoys and Weasleys, oh those naughty pureblood families!), daddy!kink, pony play, genderswitch, wax play, pegging, tribbing, pussywhipping, disguised sex, and, of course, tons of other themes that are a bit more common around Daily Deviant.
Awesome job once again, everyone!!!
You seriously did great work encouraging everyone and putting this great fest together!
As to the reveals -- if it does not interfere with your schedule in any way, and in light of some IJ site problems throughout today, I wanted to request that we might have an extra day to catch up on KK materials before the reveals. Though I don't know the exact time frame, I kept checking IJ today to read KK, and the site was consistently down (as was noted during the outage on their Twitter and their FB). If that's not possible, I totally understand, and I'll just do my best to catch up tomorrow.
In any case, excellent job! *claps*
And I should have said, I LOVE THE WACKY STATS! Ha, sorry I forgot to mention that the first go round. w00t for Daily Deviant members and watchers, and up with kink!
Yep, in light of the extended downtime and a few requests of this nature, we've decided to move reveals to noon on the 10th. So you'll have the weekend to catch up. ;)
And thanks! :)
5th January 2011 20:09
Oh, thank you, thank you! :* I'll read them anyway; I just really am fond of that chance to read before reveals.
5th January 2011 20:14
Hee, I'm the same way. ;P
5th January 2011 05:38
While I was writing my [Bad username: adventdrabbles"]-that-were-not-drabbles, I was also glancing over Kinky Kristmas and amazed at the range and scope of all the artists and writers who participated. I cannot thank the mods and the participants for all the pr0n under my metaphysical Christmas tree!
5th January 2011 06:41
Haha, I love these stats! They are a good ol' deviant read in and of themselves. Much fun!
5th January 2011 09:37
What a wonderful stats post!
I doubt that Snape will have much chance to relax in January - it is his birthday, after all, and I'm sure several people have presents for him.
Am I the only one to feel sorry for Pettigrew? (Where is that prompts list...)
5th January 2011 19:07
Love your stats as always, Ro! Why on earth would Harry and Ginny be paired up? *dies* And Snape clearly is a lucky, lucky man and taking lots of stamina potion. Eight DP? Lucky me! ;)
5th January 2011 19:24
Ahahahaha! Oh man, I love your stats. *giggles*
Harry and Ginny? Eww!
5th January 2011 19:48
Harry and Snape Ew! Actually Snape/anyone....EW! *shudders*
See, this is why DD is equal opportunity.
7th January 2011 17:48
Since I have actually written Harry/Ginny, this was more of a comment about the statement in post above about Harry being her (alleged) husband.
I'll clearly have to be more careful about my joking comments in the future.
5th January 2011 19:30
Loving the stats :)
Also, very much, loving the mods of this fab community :)
5th January 2011 19:35
We sincerely hope he plans to get some rest in January...
Sorry Severus, I have plans for you this month so buck up, git!
Love the stats and of course, no complaints from this side on the Snape-a-Day postings. :)
5th January 2011 20:07
Wow...those are quite some stats. I can't wait to see the reveals. :D
And thanks for keeping everything running so smoothly this year. It was a great fest.
(And I'm still so behind in reading...)
5th January 2011 20:12
Suspiciously absent from her list is her own (alleged) husband. Hmm...
Oh, Ginny! Don't you ever change!
I love the stats so much! It's great fun to read.
And why am I suddenly thinking of a "Not another Snape-fest" fest? ;-)
5th January 2011 21:47
Love these stats. Minerva gets more than Sirius. Who says there ain't no justice in this world?
Great fest.
7th January 2011 06:35
I've made several recs posts during the fest, but here's my final one (It sums up the previous ones, too).
5th January 2011 22:41
Yay, stats! I LOVE stats. Especially when they're accompanied by amusing commentary. :D
(Comment I typed more than 12 hours ago and wasn't able to post, damn you IJ.)
6th January 2011 00:41
A whopping 8 pieces (10% of the fest!) featured good ol' DP.
WIN! :-P
6th January 2011 00:59
Awesome stats and I am really happy to see that while not in the Snapely zone, at least there was some nice Ginger Representation in the mix as well as some fantastic femmeslash (as well as the usual slash-slash, Snapelyness etc.)
Well done, everyone! (And GO MINERVA, you Septigenarian Minx!)
6th January 2011 02:26
8th January 2011 02:20
8th January 2011 02:27
