Artist's notes: I haven't used watercolors since I was about 12, but my photoshop broke so I decided to give them a go. It was really challenging to them to do what I wanted, especially for someone used to an unlimited undo, but I'll definitely be trying these again sometime. :)

That is gorgeous! First of all, watercolors FTW! Such a tricky medium. I love the way the grasses are wrapped around Hermione's legs, the way her hair partially obscures her face as well as her position-like a rocking horse! ;) Wonderful work.

Oh, thank you! The merperson looked so lovely and androgynous, I just couldn't stand to assign a gender when I was writing up the header. I like your interpretation though... mmm, femslash. :D

First off, that you'd call my tentative fumblings with the watercolors talented - wow. Guess it's good that I didn't post the dozen times after this that I tried to do a Pansy/Hermione pic and failed (there would have been more but I ran out of paper. :P)

Second - GAH HOW COULD I NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR UN. I totally saw your lj one whilst stalking your profile, and of course remember all those conversations now that you point them out. This goes to show two things; that I rely on userpics way more than I think I do (the scary snape-looking person? totally not the friendly lemur person, at all, ever!), and that I never stalked your lj self.

You never happened to mod a community about non/dubcon that has since disappeared off the face of IJ, have you? Because that's who you originally reminded me of. Considering my track record, that was probably you too. XD

Alas, no, you don't. There was anatomy fail and ink fail and also, they were wearing clothes. It was sort of my decoy pic in case my family came in and were all like, why is that mermaid nonconning that poor innocent unconscious young girl? What is going on here??? (They do not know about my fandom proclivities.)
