Appearance: Lithe in stature, broad of shoulder but narrow at the waist and hips; a figure that could make most girls jealous. Average in height at roughly five feet and eleven inches. Dark brown, occasionally dyed black hair, cut in mismatched lengths, often covering hazel eyes.
Distinguishing Marks: The word, Sawyer, is in black ink on right wrist. Origin of Love symbol, a face cut into two, on the left wrist. Two identical sparrows outlined in black fading from red to orange to blue, can be found on the pelvic area.
Personality: Sawyer is a glass half-full sort of person. Attempting to find the light in the dark at every turn, despite the obstacles he may face on a daily basis. Generous, with what little he has to give. Sensitive, compassionate and insightful to those around him. Determined to remain free of all forms of restriction, and dreaming of better days. A genuine survivor, with a gentle heart, that is both fragile and fiercely loyal.
Biography: Sawyer was born to the trap in the sixties age couple, Bruce and Lily Braugher. The middle child of three, it would be a childhood filled with cotton clouds that resembled animals, rainwater in beer bottles, and a beautiful swirl of rainbow colors. They were always moving from place to place, his parents still chasing a time that had faded; hopping from friend to family to friend to client to dealer, and back again. Not once, had he or his siblings set foot into a school. And yet, they knew a great deal, much that wouldn't be found in any textbook. It wasn't a bad life, just a short one.
Not too long after his eighth birthday, his parents and little sister, Marilyn, would perish in the crushing metal and consuming flames of a car accident. Sawyer was then separated from his older brother, Verne, as both boys were placed into foster homes. For the first time, Sawyer was able to live a normal life. A new home, a new family and a new name. Sawyer was erased from the records, and Brendan Westen was introduced to the world. He should have been happy at the opportunity given to him, but instead he longed for the freedom he had once known.
For six years he remained with the Westen family, groomed to be the same, but annoyingly different no matter what he was forced to wear or do. Day in and day out, he was reminded of the kindness they had shown him by taking him in, the least he could do in return was not to embarrass them. Buttons were mashed, and limits broken. The degrees of separation building, until it became too much to bare. Brendan would disappear, as Sawyer returned, eager to disappear to somewhere faraway, where the sun could be felt once again.
Packing up what he could and what little he had that meant anything to him, he'd runaway. Three years on the street, sleeping beneath bridges, in abandoned buildings, churches, broken down cars, and shelters.. he's gradually making his way across the country. Always searching for something, that will fill the void that has developed within. People have come and gone, during this span of time, either further harming or mending, but always leaving some form of an impression in his mind. On occasion he is known to do whatever, for some cash, food or something more suitable to wear.
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual.
Quote: "So when you've got no other choice, you know you can follow my voice, through the dark turns and noise.. of this wicked little town."
