Brief Biography: Born October 16, 1888 in the Whitechapel district, his was a time of poverty and disease, the terror of Jack the Ripper still swarming the streets even after the deaths had stopped. His mother was among the prostitutes and homeless living in London, having no money or means to support her little accident. Haunted by the image of her child's father, she couldn't bring herself to kill the life growing within. Despite having nothing, and the child being an extra burden, she was excited for what the future could hold. Would the handsome and fair man return for her? Would he be overjoyed to discover she bore him a son? She knew it would be a boy, somehow, it's just ate away at her. On the dark and stormy evening of deliverance, she would manage to make her way to the hospital, only to die a few short hours later. It would be popular belief, that the culprit had been a severe loss of blood, not uncommon for that time. What sprang from between those bloodied thighs that night, was no innocent, orphaned babe, but a demon among men. Luckily, a sister of one of the doctors who had been diagnosed as barren, was interested in adopting the infant as her own. Raised by these illegitimate aristocrats, he learned the ideals of the upper-class and was taught manners as well as schooled in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Over the years he became the proper gentleman of their hopes, and of the ladies dreams. Yet, beneath the surface dwelled a consuming darkness, that torn away at his soul. A painful hunger that produced nightmarish visions, a perversion for blood and violence. It would begin, innocently enough, kissing a pricked finger of a chambermaid. But the taste of warm blood upon his lips, the relief both physically and mentally it gave him, would begin to plant the seeds of madness. It would not be until after he had slit and drank the blood from the throat of the same chambermaid, that he realized how different he truly was. It was the beginning of something new and extraordinary, opening a world of new opportunities. He would leave his adopted parents home that very night, with a sack full of valuables to pay for the luxuries he was accustomed to, never to return again. In such a fashion, he continued for a long time, feeding off the blood from his victims, gradually inching towards his true potential and destiny. Along the way, he would find others like him, and learn that they were considered by fictional terms to be "vampires." It amused him to be associated with the term, and still holds some humor to this day. (cont..)
Personality: Coming soon.
Appearance: Although a hundred and twenty-one years old, he appears to be only in his early twenties. Standing roughly six feet, and weighing a light hundred and forty, he's on the slender side, although toned. Loosely resembling the form of a fencer. Hair is white blonde, and shoulder length, slightly wavy. Eyes are vivid green, and can vary in hue in response to his moods. An intricate, silver talon ring covers the length of his right, index finger, used in tearing the throats of his victims for an easy drink. The chain of an antique pocket watch that stopped working long ago, always seen hanging from the pocket on his left side.
Strengths: Vampires are immortal creatures who are immune to diseases. They do not age, nor do they require oxygen, food or water. They're life force is sustained through enzymes produced within living blood, specifically human blood. A vampire can eat preserved blood not out of a living creature, as well as ordinary food and drink, but will gain no nutrients essential to preserving their life from these substances. If a vampire wants to experience a sot of 'high' from drugs or liquor, they must do so through the blood of the living, for the effects of the narcotic will travel from the mortals blood system to their own, though its effects are only temporary. Vampires have an accelerated healing process, wounds can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days to fully heal depending on the severity of the wound, the weapon used and the age of the immortal. Vampires have heightened senses, they can see, hear and smell from incredible distances making it nearly impossible to sneak up upon one. With age, their strength, speed and agility also increases. Myths say that a vampire can fly, which is false. However, they are capable gliding short distances and jumping incredible heights giving the appearance of flight. Vampires also have the ability to influence or control mortal minds, some mortals are easier to manipulate then others depending on their own self trength. Every vampire's strength is dependent on their age, the older the immortal gets the stronger they get.
Weaknesses: Old European myths about a vampire and its weakness don't apply. The only harm garlic does a vampire is give them bad breath, they don't need to sleep in coffins during the day, or on patches of soil from their homelands. Crucifixes and other religious symbols rarely work on a modern day vampire for the simple reason that the undead and the hunter must both have faith in the icon for it to work, most no longer believe in the existence of God. Day light is still a factor for vampires, but only slows their responses, and makes them groggy, for they're truly nocturnal creatures. In order to kill a vampire you must sever its heart and remove if from the body, or decapitate it. These are easier said then done since most vampires have a protective layer surrounding the rib cage, making it hard for objects to pierce through in order to reach the heart. Extreme heat (as such from the sun or flame throwers) can kill a vampire with enough exposure, so long as the flame makes its way to the vampires heart or brain.
Special Ability: Soul Eater - another ancient form of vampirism that makes it appearance every so often. not only is the vampire able to drain it's victim of it's blood and life force, but it's soul. prohibiting the victim from being truly dead and turned into a mindless drone, comatose, or sent to a sea of nothingness (spirit cannot reach heaven or hell)
Quote: "There is no God. Religion is a crutch for the people who can't complete the tasks of daily life without knowing there is some omnipotent force watching over them. Believe in something you know is real. Believe in me."
