The rundown building was something one of Reginald’s great-great uncles had brought into the family. Uncle Phineas had sought to make several of the communities along the river Tweed solely magical, and although it had only half succeeded there were some buildings that had fallen into Reginald’s hands to do with what he pleased. In effect, they made some perfect clandestine meeting locations. The single room cottage didn’t offer anything impressive, but it was cleaner than one would surmise from exterior. Currently the only furniture was a simple wooden table and an old chair that would seat Reginald’s honoured guest. Donnie usually didn't travel so far out of London to find a rundown building to perch in, but today was different. He didn't know why he was standing in front of the small cottage, but he did know that he had to be there. It was important. He knocked on the door once, and then simply pushed the door open when he realized he was too impatient to wait for a response. His eyes fell upon the table, the chair, and the older gentleman standing before him. "Uh...hi!" A brief, yet awkward pause. "So, I'm here? Let's do this!" He didn't know what 'this' was, but he just knew it was going to be something great. “Have a seat, Mr. Abercrombie,” Reginald answered crisply with a flick of his wand in direction of the chair. “I appreciate your excitement towards our meeting, but we’ll make this as quick as possible and be on our merry little ways, shall we? I know we’re both very busy individuals.” It would take some time to properly augment everything, but the less that he had to listen to Abercrombie ramble would be better. He’d already spent an excess of time studying the memory in question he was going to implant, and he didn’t think someone like Donald Abercrombie warranted too much more. Donnie sat down promptly, folding his hands in his lap, a brilliant smile on his face. He felt like an empty vessel waiting to be filled with whatever information this man was going to give him. "I'm busy, but not that busy. I wasn't even -- " He stopped short, realizing that he had no idea what he'd been doing before he traveled to the cottage. He didn't even know where exactly the cottage was located. The quickly rising panic disappeared as suddenly as it arose once he remembered that he was only there to listen to whatever this man had to say, and then leave. The looming man nodded and slid his wand from it’s wrist holster as Abercrombie complied. Good. Evan’s Imperius was still working strong and that made that easier. Reginald’s lips twitched ever so slightly as he readied himself. Step one was to find the memories before modifying and adding. “That’s good to hear. Thank you for making this so simple. You may still yet be an asset to our cause should you mind your tongue. Legilimens.” |
