Happy Birthday, Gil Grissom!

OKOKOK. It's an odd time in the journals--people are partway here and partway Over There, and watching both places. It's also coming up on some CSI birthdays--Gil's on August 17 and Nick's on August 18 (or is it the 16th and the 17th?). And season 8 of CSI premieres on September 27.

So, a fic challenge is in order. I'm posting this here and on LJ in the oh_no_nicky comm (or at least I'll post it when LJ comes up).

Your challenge is to write a slashy first scene for the new season. Can be any length over 100 words, must in some way address the story line we were left with at the end of season 7, and must contain at least one scene that would never, ever make it onto primetime network TV.

I'm the same elmyraemilie that you might have seen over on LJ. It would be good to get some CSI community going here. Fic is welcome. Please use headers and put anything longer than a double drabble behind a cut. Also, warn for CSI character death and rape/non-con; other warnings are optional.

Graphics are welcome too--post some examples and cut or link the rest.

Episode discussion would be great; please cut spoilers. It would be great to hear your speculations about the coming season.

The primary rule: Be nice. Discipline is at my discretion.
