ALCHEMIST: This is the only class that excels at using the full potency of items and not relying as much on weapons. They do carry guns that do decent physical damage, but their main focus is using curative items from long ranges. ARCHER: This class specializes in sharp shooting from great distances and delivering attacks with pinpoint accuracy. Their damage is nominal, but they can also inflict debilitating wounds. BARD: These entertainers are known for singing and dancing in order to rally their allies or demoralize foes. If all else fails, these spoony bards are excellent at hiding from foes. BERSERKER: These barbarians attack with a quick, all-out offensive style, and counter attack anything that touches them. It's all about attacking without paying any attention to defense. BEASTMASTER: These tamers of the wild manipulate beasts in order to aid them in battle. Alone they possess no special abilities, and the beasts they control could turn against them at any moment. BLACK MAGE: These mages cast elemental and debuffing magic spells to harm foes. They also have exclusive access to ultimate non-elemental magic spells such as Ultima and Meteor. CANNONEER: Similar to Gunners, this hand cannon toting class excels at firing shells to attack entire areas. While these attacks are quite powerful, they are often slow and have no magical properties. DARK KNIGHT: This brooding niche of knighthood sacrifices health in order to deal major damage to foes. Typically, they also wield weapons and possess abilities that can siphon the life force out of their foes. DRAGOON: This renowned class wields great lances and uses their Jump ability to avoid foes and deal devastating attacks. They also have a mysterious connections to dragons. GAMBLER: These risk-takers deal out cards or take a roll of the dice for a chance to aid allies or harm foes. Feeling lucky? GEOMANCER: This niche of mage controls the environment around them to their advantage. This can be either extremely limiting or absolutely devastating. It all depends on their surroundings. GUNNER: These feisty firearm wielders have an attack range like no other. They can dish out normal damage or imbue their bullets with magical properties in order to cast low level black and white magic spells. KNIGHT: This conventional class wields great swords and dons heavy armor for high attack and defense. They possess no special abilities, though. MONK: These powerhouses use only their bare fists to dish out an incomparable amount of damage. They wear little to no armor, yet are still capable of taking a great deal of punishment. NINJA: These mysterious warriors wield various Japanese blades and can throw shuriken. They also have the ability to perform various jutsu, which is typically elemental in nature and may sometimes contain restorative or debuffing properties. PALADIN: This prestigious class wields holy swords and shields. They can also cast low level restorative and buffing magic spells. RANGER: This variation of the Archer class can wield both knives and bows. They can also set traps in order to damage and/or debuff foes. Almost exclusively, they possess the ability to camouflage themselves, becoming virtually invisible. RED MAGE: These jacks-of-all-trades are decent at everything, yet truly excel at nothing in particular. They wield shortswords, rapiers, and shields, yet they can also cast mid level black and white magic spells. SOLDIER: This typically run-of-the-mill class wields various types of swords and shields. Their attacks do nominal damage, but also contain various debuffing properties which can be a godsend. SUMMONER: These usually deeply spiritual people have learned the talent of summoning powerful, mystical creatures. Alone they lack any special skills, but their ability to call upon their magical friends makes them a necessity in battle. THIEF: These scoundrels wield knives, daggers, and bombs, and are also able to steal from foes. They can also easily escape from any situation gone awry. TIME MAGE: This niche of mage casts magic spells which manipulate time and space in order to aid allies and hinder foes. WHITE MAGE: These mages cast restorative and buffing magic spells to aid allies in and out of battle. They can also exclusively use the non-elemental Holy spell. Is there another class you would like to play as, but it isn't listed here? A lot of the classes from the Final Fantasy series are extremely similar or redundant, so that's probably why it was omitted from this game. However, don't let that discourage you.
