An unpleasant tension snaked its way into Declan's chest, and for a moment he was certain that he'd ruined things before they even began. His first instinct was to get defensive, like he would have before he'd gotten to know Arthur just that small bit better in the past few months, but he bit back the snarky remark on the tip of his tongue.
"It's not insanity, it's muggles." Arthur was taller than him, just enough that Declan had to tilt his head up. "I thought it would be nice for us to have some privacy from anyone we knew. I know the area, we're not in robes, and I don't think either of us were planning on casting any spells, so they can't tell the difference." He shrugged, beginning to feel at a loss. "They're just people."
