Will smirked. "Not you bleeding," he said simply, pausing their walk to wipe an invisible speck from below her lip with his thumb.
His gaze moved over her before he continued to move into the abandoned graveyard. No matter what, the place never seemed to change. For all the ghosts in the hotel, Will was glad at the normalcy of the graveyard itself. It had always been a nice place to escape the sensory overload of the loud hotel, now with less people to needlessly interact with, he would not be driven to his room so often.
Of the people he had made friends with, they were all still around. Even if the dynamic between Yelena and him had shifted a step back into a flood of maybes and maybe nots. He did not need her chewing on her lip to feel that from her.
The low hanging cold air from the cool day still danced around their feet, giving the comfort of the cold weather Will was used to. He wore his layers as he always did and today was a glasses sort of day, though it might have become more and more noticeable that he did not actually need them except when he wanted to separate himself further.
