Xian lifted a curious eyebrow. "It's his own fault. It was his choice to follow you. A costly one," she turned her eyes back to the road. Back to the flecks of blood still scattered across the dirty surface. His death wouldn't have been quick. "But I'm told it is what friends do." Elektra had one less friend this morning, didn't she? But then, what was dead didn't always stay that way for long as guests of the hotel. Or was this a culling? Were the monsters here to remind them of the safety of their home...
She didn't like the feeling that they were possibly being manipulated. But she also liked her head attached to the rest of her. These beasts were large and many. Going up against one, perhaps she had a chance. Xian walked along the grates, looking for where Octane had set a lock or whatever it was that was keeping Elektra behind it. "Could you recognize the beasts if you saw them again?"
Revenge was so much easier delivered with two sets of hands rather than one.
